![]() In 1959 the time had finally come, the first Chevrolet with the Spanish name "El Camino" (in English: "the road") saw the light of day and was ultimately considered the answer to the Ranchero from Ford that had been introduced two years earlier. At GM, the idea of such a sedan pickup had been on the table since 1952, but it was never implemented. It must have been particularly annoying for GM (General Motors) when their arch-rival Ford beat them here with their Ranchero (coupé pickup). While the Cameo was a truck in every respect, it already offered many elements typical of a passenger car - such as two-tone paint, a smooth V-8 engine, automatic transmission, a relatively luxurious interior, and power assistance. Then, in the mid-1955s, the manufacturer brought out the Chevy Pickup Cameo Carrier(a more luxurious truck model within the 3100 Series/Task Force) which eventually paved the way for the Chevrolet El Camino. ![]() And indeed, Chevy already had such a model in its range in the 1920s, which followed the trend that followed (mid-1930s) – on truck platforms to go over - but had to give way. The basic idea of turning a passenger car into a commercial vehicle is almost as old as the automobile itself. Unlike a regular pickup, the El Camino was built on a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and truck bed into the body. The El Camino was a pickup-style passenger car that combined the dramatic styling of Chevrolet cars of the time with a Half-Ton pickup. ![]() The Chevrolet El Camino (Gen.1) is a coupe utility vehicle that was produced and marketed from 1959 to 1960. ![]() The bug spray offered to you by the bartender was Eco friendly. This has become a problem for everyone in Cabo and having met with other business owners, exterminators, and "specialists", we are doing our best to keep our customers comfortable. The mosquitos have recently become a problem due to the abundance of rain we got after not having any rain for three years. (also known as husband babysitters while the wives shop :-)) As far as cleanliness, we are very clean and follow all health codes, disinfect all of our fruit, and use the mosquito zapper to avoid using poisonous sprays around our fruit. This street (Boulevard Marina) is lined with Shopping Plazas and bars. We are located on the main boulevard of Downtown Cabo in Plaza Del Sol. I don't think our visit was a typical reflection of the bar or the experience it offers patrons, but I think it is fair to offer a review of our experience so potential visitors understand another dimension of the bar. In talking with another guest at our hotel I learned that he had suffered the same fate and left uno mas? with an abundance of bites. I walked away with 27 bug bites on one leg and 8 more on the other. The bartender offered me bug spray which I foolishly turned down. ![]() The bartender was using a bug zapper racquet to kill the mosquitos behind the bar which makes me question the cleanliness of the bar itself. What stood out was the amount of Mosquitos probably attracted to the fresh fruit used to make the drinks. I got a Piña colada and while it was good it was nothing special. Still, we wanted to see what all the hype was about so we ordered a drink. The bar is tucked away in the vicinity of a sketchy stip mall and when we visited we were the only customers. I was really intrigued with Uno Mas? But when we visited the bar I was very disappointed. I think the icing on the cake is the desert, named on the menu as a chocolate tart with mascarpone which actually arrived as the same chocolate cheesecake you get served for lunch in the sands beach bar. Before traveling to Cabo I did lots of research of attractions on Trip Advisor. Let me just make it clear- you have this 60-degree angle ![]() Have happened if you had flipped this one to This guy over, you will get this one over here. You could flip them, rotate them, shift them, whatever. But remember, thingsĬan be congruent if you can flip them- if We look at this oneĭegrees, 7, and then 60. So the vertex of the 60-degreeĪngle over here is point N. We can write down that triangleĪBC is congruent to triangle- and now we have to be veryĬareful with how we name this. And then finally, you haveĤ0-degree angle here. That just the drawing tells you what's going on. It might not be obvious,īecause it's flipped, and they're drawn a Then you have your 60-degreeĪngle right over here. Here we have 40 degrees,Ħ0 degrees, and then 7. So it's an angle,Īn angle, and side, but the side is not on And this one, we have a 60ĭegrees, then a 40 degrees, and a 7. So maybe these are congruent,īut we'll check back on that. Maybe closer to something like angle, side,Īngle because they have an angle, side, angle. It might be congruent to some other triangle, So this has the 40 degreesĪnd the 60 degrees, but the 7 is in between them. These other triangles have this kind of 40,Ħ0 degrees, and then the 7 right over here. Has- if one of its sides has the length 7, then that And it can't just be anyĪngle, angle, and side. The venue opened on October 8, 1968, with a performance by Maurice Béjart's Ballet of the 20th Century. Various adjustments were made to compensate for these acoustic problems. Earlier, the facility had acquired the derisive nickname of "Palacio de los rebotes" (Palace of Reverberations) due to the way sound bounced around and echoed in it, a major problem for music concerts scheduled at the arena, and a drawback even for sports events. The structure underwent a series of modifications in the 1990s to adjust the acoustic profile of the structure. A mezzanine provides access to the boxes and middle and upper stands. It has three floors, which house complete facilities for athletes, judges, officials, organizers, as well as services for radio, television and the press. The Palacio originally seated 22,370, including 7,370 in removable seats. The dome consists of hyperbolic paraboloids of tubular aluminum covered with waterproof copper-sheathed plywood and supported by huge steel arches. The Palacio is circular in design with a square-patterned dome spanning 380 feet (120 m) and enclosing an area of 6.7 acres (27,000 m 2). It was built by the company ICA between October 15, 1966, and September 13, 1968, and finished construction just in time for the Olympics. There is also a smaller pavilion for expositions and concerts.
